For young people, especially those navigating housing, job searches, or legal systems, not having a phone can create major barriers. But there are low-cost options that can help. Take a moment to prepare yourself with the information below so you can be ready to explore options and help them stay connected to the people and resources they need.

Seek Clarity:

  1. Do you need a phone, a phone plan, or both?

Get to the Root:

  1. Did something precipitate the need for a phone?
  2. Did you have a phone prior to this current need?  If so, what happened to it?

Ask About Options:

  1. What are you able to contribute each month to a phone plan?
