Here's what young people participating in CFUF's STRIVE program should know so they can complete intake and set themselves up for success!
NOTE: STRIVE is a required component for all Thread Maryland Corps/Service Year Option placements.
INTAKE STEPS
- Complete an online application
- Complete the needs assessment + supplemental assessment forms (paper copy, available during TouchPoint threadHOURS)
- Complete an intake interview with a CFUF team member
HOW TO COMPLETE YOUR INTAKE INTERVIEW
- Walk-ins at the CFUF office are welcome: Mon-Thur, 9am - 4:30pm
- You can make an appointment at the CFUF office by calling Tyler at 443-876-5572
- CFUF staff will be on site at threadHOURS at TouchPoint Aug. 12, 19, and 26
GETTING READY FOR STRIVE
- All participants need professional attire to wear each day
- Punctuality is *very* strict -- plan to arrive early
- The program intentionally takes a hands-on, tough love approach to help every participant feel prepared to navigate difficult people and situations in the workplace
- There is a required General Intake day (typically the Friday before program start) in addition to the 3 weeks of full time training
