STRIVE
STRIVE is a 3-week, full-time workforce readiness program that is a required component for all Thread Maryland Corps/Service Year Option Members. Most Thread members will be expected to complete STRIVE before they begin the rest of their placement, but in some cases, they may complete STRIVE later in their term. The 3 weeks of STRIVE are considered part of the 9-month placement, and therefore are paid hours.

Maryland Corps/Service Year Term Start - General Dates
- Placements may begin as early as August 3rd, if the Member has completed the steps for placement and the Host Site Partner is ready.
- All placements are expected to begin no later than September 11th, so please make sure to complete your general application and placement-specific requirements as quickly as possible.
- There will be a day-of-service event that is required for all Maryland Corps/Service Year Option Members in person on Friday, September 11th.
