Find an Immigration Attorney

Use the National Immigration Legal Resource Directory to search for immigration legal services providers by state, county, or detention facility. Only nonprofit organizations that provide free or low-cost immigration legal services are included in this directory.

For individuals who are apprehended by Immigration Customs Enforcement in Baltimore City - Contact CASA at (888) 214-6016. They should return your call within 24 hours. If you do not already have an attorney, the Mayor's Office of Immigrant Affairs in Baltimore City is helping connect individuals with attorneys. CASA should be able to direct you with the steps for that process. If you are already connected with an attorney, you will be required to proceed through your attorney. 

  • It will help to have the alien number for individuals who have been apprehended by Immigration Customs Enforcement. An alien number (A-number) is an identification number given by the U.S. government to some non-U.S. citizens. It is used to track immigration records and applications. You can usually find it on immigration documents, such as a green card, work permit, or official letters from U.S. immigration.

BEWARE OF IMMIGRATION SCAMS Ensure You Seek Counsel of a Licensed Attorney and protect yourself, your clients, of your family from becoming victims. Because there is a lot of uncertainty around immigration at this moment, bad actors will try to take advantage of the situation.

Notario Fraud takes place when individuals represent themselves as qualified to offer legal advice or services concerning immigration or other matters of law. These individuals have no such qualification and routinely victimize members of immigration communities. Please visit stopnotariofraud.org for more information on how to protect yourself.

The Executive Office for Immigration's List of Currently Disciplined Practitioners through the Justice Department lists attorneys who have previously received disciplinary action and are not in good standing with their law licenses.

Immigration Legal Resource Center Know Rights Red Cards - All people in the United States, regardless of immigration status, have certain rights and protections under the U.S. Constitution. The ILRC's red cards give examples of how people can exercise these rights. However, they do not provide individualized legal advice. ILRC encourages people to check in with a trusted legal service provider for questions about their situation.

USA Hello Resource Guide - USAHello has developed a resource guide to help prepare for changes in U.S. immigration policies for the upcoming presidential administration. The information may change as policy decisions occur and the page is currently updated regularly.

Baltimore New American Access Coaltion (BNAAC) - This program partners with community-based organizations, which in the past have included CASA, Global Refuge, the Esperanza Center, and the Southeast CDC. The program offers short-term financial help and long-term bilingual case management to help immigrant and refugee residents access federal, state, and local aid. The second stage of BNAAC was launched in October 2025 with funds from Baltimore City.

Monadnock Immigrant Solidarity Collaborative resource repository of over 100 resources. The website can be read in Spanish and Haitian Creole as well as in English, and it links to documents in over 20 languages. The materials have been sourced from around the country.
