Summer Focus: Launching Young People into Maryland Corps/Service Year!
This summer at TouchPoint threadHOURS, we are dedicating space and time each Wednesday to launching our young people into life-changing career and service pathways through the Maryland Corps / Service Year Option.
Every week at threadHOURS, we will feature specialized presentations, hands-on application support, and direct access to resource partners. Whether your young person is ready to apply, exploring placement options in healthcare, tech, education, or another field, or just starting to think about their next professional steps, threadHOURS is the ultimate one-stop shop to get them across the finish line.
How you can roll as a volunteer: Don't let your young person navigate this process alone. Commit to attending threadHOURS with them this summer. Your presence as a sounding board, a motivator, and an extra set of eyes on an application and pathway choice is exactly the relational scaffolding they need to confidently step into these paid, full-time opportunities.
Upcoming Specific Activities & Resources:
July 22 (RSVP HERE) AND July 29 (RSVP HERE) -- Programming so good, we're offering it twice!

Please encourage your young person to attend this session and being intake as early as possible, and volunteers should join to learn what to expect from STRIVE!
- Relational Tech AI App Building Workshop: What if technology helped us connect, not just scroll? We want Thread young people to help us build digital tools that meet our community’s needs.
